This was really intriguing, I like the super low-res style a lot. Not sure if it was designed this way, but in my playthrough the last remaining members of the crew sacrificed themselves to banish the evil at the last second. Bittersweet.

I really loved the retro aspect and ideology behind the game but I have a few suggestions for improvements for the game. For instance, so far, the game has been mainly relying on the storytelling of each mission that the crew has to undertake to make the story scary and emphasise on the idea of every member of the team counts in order to win the game. Hence, I suggest that if it is possible, you can add in visual images or even game functions that allow players to experience the fight with monsters, the digging of graves for fellow deceased comrades and the environment that the characters in the game reside in. It would create a much more immersive experience as a whole.
